We offer different types of GPS tracker devices based on the connection type to the power sources. Although there are differences in each model, activating the GPS tracker remains the same. There are three types of connections available for these devices. Those are:
- GPS tracker with stand-alone battery: In this type of device, a battery within the device act as power source. It can be recharged using a low – power battery. PAJ GPS offers devices with battery life up to 90 days.
- GPS tracker that connects to the car battery: In this type of connection, the GPS tracker is connected to the car battery or any other battery source via terminal leads. Here, the leads to the car battery are marked as positive and negative using color codes. One simply must bind it to the respective terminals of the car battery.
- GPS tracker connected to the OBD port: This type of tracker device is suitable for vehicles with an OBD port. Simply plug the device into the OBD port, and the installation is complete.
Setting up the PAJ GPS tracker device
Please follow the below instructions for a device with an inbuilt battery:
- Charge your device.
- Activate your built-in SIM Card by selecting a subscription model and other device details
- Go outside for the first usage: Turn on the device while outside and walk around for a few minutes holding the device. The device will calibrate itself.
- Login to the FINDER Portal via a desktop or mobile application available for Android and iOS.
Please follow the below instructions for OBD devices and devices connected to the car battery.

- Connect the device to an OBD port or an external battery source.

How do I turn on the PAJ GPS tracker?
Battery powered GPS Tracker: For all devices that have an independent battery source, there will be a dedicated switch to turn on the device.
OBD devices: OBD devices can be connected directly to the vehicle’s OBD port.
Devices connected to the car battery: In this type of device, a connection is established between the device and the car battery via positive and negative terminals. Terminals can be identified by their color codes.
What are the LED lights indicating on the PAJ GPS Trackers?
The PAJ devices have three LEDs to indicate the status of battery power, GSM connectivity, and GPS.
Orange LED: Orange LED indicates GSM connectivity. A stable orange LED indicates that GSM connectivity is available.
When the LED is off, it is in standby mode or the tracker device is off.
Blue LED: The blue LED indicates the GPS status. A stable light indicates that GPS reception is available.
Red LED (Applicable to devices which has inbuilt battery): It indicates the power status of the device. If this led is turned off, the battery is fully charged. A stable red light indicates that the device needs to be charged.
