We offer different type GPS tracker devices based on the connection type to the power sources. Even though there are differences in each model, activating the GPS tracker remains the same.
There are 3 type of connections available GPS tracker devices. Those are.
- GPS tracker with stand alone battery: In this type of devices, there is a battery within the device to act as power source. It can be recharged when in low battery. PAJ GPS offers devices with battery life up to 90 days.
- GPS tracker that connect to the car battery: In this type of connection the GPS tracker will be connected to the car battery or any other battery sources via terminal leads. Here the leads to the car battery will be marked as positive and negative using colour codes. One simply must bind it to the respective terminals of the car battery.
- GPS tracker connected to the OBD port: These type of tracker devices is for vehicles with OBD port. Simple plug in the device into the OBD port and the installation is complete.
Setting up the PAJ GPS tracker device
Please follow below instructions for device with inbuilt battery
- Charge your device.
- Activate your built in Sim Card by selecting a subscription model and other device details
- Go outside for first usage: Turn on the device while outside and walk around few mins holding the device. Device will calibrate itself.
- Login to Finder portal via desktop or mobile application available for android and iOS.
Please follow below instructions for OBD devices and devices connected to car battery.

How do I turn on the PAJ GPS tracker?
Battery powered GPS Tracker: For all the devices which has independent battery source, there will be dedicated switch to turn on the device.
OBD devices: OBD devices can be connected directly to the OBD port of the vehicle.
Devices connected to the car battery: In this type of devices, the connection is established between the device and car battery via positive and negative terminals. The terminals can be identified by the colour codes.
What are the LED lights indicating on the PAJ GPS Trackers?
PAJ devices have 3 LED to indicate the status of battery power, GSM connectivity and GPS status.
Orange LED: Orange LED is for indicating the GSM connectivity. A stable orange LED means that GSM connectivity is available.
And when the LED is off it is in standby mode or the tracker device is off.
Blue LED: The blue LED indicate the GPS status. A stable light means GPS reception is available.
Red LED (Applicable to devices which has inbuilt battery): It indicates the power status of the device. If this Led is turned off, then the battery is fully charged. A stable red led means device need to be charged.
